250 years ago the early settlers cleared the land for farming purposes and cut the trees down, uprooting the roots with mules, which they used around their properties as fencing to keep the animals inside. The size of the roots were approx. 4x4'. The pieces that are availbale came from a farm in the Georgetown area. I myself aquired 10 of these large root sections that I am using for my own projects as well as selling them. This is probably the last of the historical roots you will ever see. It is hard to tell the types of trees they orginated from. These pieces are great for dioramas or fish tank dioramas and other creative craft projects.

This piece is a part of the 250 year old large tree roots that I purchased from a farm. The wood comes as is in rotting deteriorating condition however the wood is dry and hard. I still recommend a wood hardener treatment process.
